Hudson 2 Years Ago

Two years ago our amazing Hudson was born. We were sent to the hospital 2 times before he actually came because I was having contractions 1-2 minutes apart for an entire month. Hudson fooled everyone... especially the doctors.
When we finally got the hospital the 3rd I was induced and 15 hours later he was born. When he first came out he wasn't breathing. I remember being so scared and praying harder than I have ever prayed in my whole life. I just wanted him to breath. Finally he did!
When I finally got to hold him I was overcome with emotions. Until that moment I don't think that I have ever felt so much love. Holding your own child in your arms for the first time is indescribable. Our little man was a blessing to us on that day and has blessed our lives every day since.
Hudson we love you more than you will ever know. Happy 2nd Birthday Reed Hudson!
Love,
Mommy, Daddy and Hadley

Hudson's 2nd Birthday Party

Hudson's birthday party was so much fun. No one threw up at this party... YAY! Poor Hadley threw up at her party so I'm happy to say that neither of my kids threw up and both kids got to eat cake. We had lots fun and we were really glad that so much of our family was able to come and celebrate Hudson's 2nd birthday.

The best birthday picture of all of us... at least I'm looking. :) Hudson wouldn't nap all day that's why he looks so tired.

Too cute not to post. Hadley's kissy face.

Our New Kitchen

So I got this really cute kitchen for the Hadley and Hudson's birthday... it sat in the hallway for a few days until Hunter had the weekend to put it together. The kids thought the big box was their new toy. After a few days of riding and climbing the box Hunter started putting it together. Little did I know that there were 5,000 pieces and that it would take the entire day to put it together. Hunter's job was to get it assembled... my job was keeping the kids entertained while he did it. I didn't do a very good job because the kids wanted to help dad the whole time. After about a couple hours... or all day... depending on how you look at it, the kitchen was complete. Good job Hunter! :)
Riding the box.
"Yay! Daddy's going to put our kitchen together!"

Hudson kept saying, "Common dad!"

Oh no! They didn't show me that many pieces when I ordered it. YIKES!

Waiting...

Hudson wanted to help so bad.

Playing with any little piece they could get there hands on.

I just wanted a picture of the 2 of them with daddy and the finished kitchen. They were so mad... they just wanted to play.

Hudson is 2!

I can't believe my little man is 2! Where in the world did time go? I remember just a few years ago when Hunter and I were trying to get pregnant and it just wasn't happening. After a year of trying we finally found out that we were expecting. I have never been so excited and nervous in my whole life. I sure did just get in bed for the next few days. I was so scared! I didn't want to do anything to jeopardize this amazing gift we had just been given. Eventually I got out of bed... and here we are 2 years later with the most amazing boy I have ever met. Happy 2nd Birthday Hudson!
I had a snow day on Hudson's birthday so we got to spend the whole day together. My parents were in town for H's party which was the next day. So we met up with them, my sisters and brother. We had great lunch and just hung out. Then we headed home for Hudson's birthday dinner, cake and presents.

Love this picture! I can totally tell that she is thinking, "Oh... that's how you do that."

Happy 2nd Birthday Hudson!

Best picture we could get. Thanks a lot you 2. Had wouldn't look at the camera and Hudson kept making faces. :)

This is how you open a gift. This picture doesn't really capture just how much fun Hudson has when he is opening presents. Seriously... paper flies everywhere. :)

He likes opening the bags much better. Those wrapped paper gifts just take too long.

Hadley 1 Year Ago

One year ago our sweet little Hadley came into our lives. We are so happy and so blessed to have received such a wonderful gift from God.
Hadley, we love you more than you will ever know. You are the best surprise that God could have ever given us.
Happy Birthday Ella Hadley!
Love,
Mommy, Daddy and Hudson

Within one year we went from "the 2 of us" to "the 3 of us" and now "the 4 of us".

My sweet little girl! Happy Birthday Baby!

Hadley's 1st Birthday Party

So in midst of a crazy winter break with my cousin Karli's graduation, Hadley's birthday, her 1 year check up with shots, a skin cancer scare for me, a trip to my parents, Christmas, my mom's birthday, both kids throwing up and "number twoing"... we had Hadley's 1st birthday party.
Poor Hadley was doing so good and then half way through the party she threw up on Papa Keith. So after a quick bath, wardrobe change and clean up we got the party back on track, but my birthday girl just wasn't in a partying mood.

Hadley's smash cake... which never got smashed because she was too sick. That's okay... she probably wouldn't have smashed it anyway... she's kind of like me.

Had was feeling a little better here, but still stuck to mommy (which isn't too unusual).

So this was Hudson after everyone left. Hunter ran to the store, I was cleaning up, Hadley was finally feeling a little better. Hudson climbed into his chair grabbed Had's zebra plate, a pink cupcake and attempted to eat it before he passed out.

And here is Hadley eating Hudson's cupcake crumbs off the floor. Poor birthday girl... the only cake she had was crumbs. :)
