Kisses for Grammy

My Grammy passed away one year ago this past March. She was my best friend. I miss her so much and think about her every day. I am so lucky to have had her in my life for so long. I am also so happy that she got to be part of so many important moments in my life. She was able to see Hudson when he was still really little, but she never knew that Hadley would be here shortly after. In fact, I always kind of think that she was looking down on us after she passed away and thought that things weren't exciting enough without her. I feel like she played a role in sending us our sweet Hadley.

I went into Hudson's room the other day and he was climbing his closet shelf. Not safe... I know, but when I saw what he was doing he melted my heart. He did it again tonight and I ran to get the video camera because it meant so much to me. See for yourself... :)

Update

I have so many things to blog about, but no time to do it. Between the kids and school starting I am completely overloaded. I promise that I will eventually get everything posted. I don't even have time right now. The kids are fast asleep and I'm running to bed as fast as I can, but I wanted to post a quick update.

Hadley has decided that she likes waking up in the middle of the night to see what I'm doing. And Hudson sometimes likes to see what Had and I are up to at 2:00 am. Crazy kids! While I'm changing diapers and trying to get everyone back to sleep my wonderful husband is getting plenty of sleep. :) I don't know how he can wake up to fire alarms at all times of the night, but some how can't hear our little ones at night. Poor me... I'm not getting much sleep. :)

Hunter is probably so worn out from his day with the kids. Since I've been back to work, he's been taking care of the little ones on his days off. He is such a great dad! I don't know many dads that would stay home with their little ones every day that they could. I come home and I'm so jealous of how much fun they're having. Daddy is the by far the fun one. Hudson loves running and around and playing ball with Hunter. Sometimes the two of them like to tease me - Hunter has taught Hudson to yell "GO CARDS". Hadley loves all of the funny faces and songs that Hunter sings. She is definitely our cuddle bug. She has just started crawling and pulling up on everything. They are both growing up way too fast.

School started on Thursday. I always forget how stressful it is the first few days... sometimes even weeks. Our district decided to change our phonics/letter identification curriculum 2 days before school started. Kind of funny since that is my subject to plan for our team and I already had 4 weeks planned out. That's alright, I love writing lesson plans. HA! HA! WHATEVER! I feel like I have a pretty good class this year, but somehow they all forget how to listen at the same time. Needless to say I still have a headache from repeating myself all day. It can only get better. I really am excited about this school year. I love teaching kindergarten!

By far the best part of my whole day is walking in our garage door and Hudson waiting there yelling "MOMMY" with a huge hug and kiss for me. Then, I look over and Hadley is jumping up in down in Hunter's arms with the biggest smile on her face ready to give me her slobbery Hadley kisses. Not many people get to go to a job that they love and have such an amazing family. I feel so blessed and I thank God everyday for all of the blessings in my life. :)

Family Photos

We went to my mom and dad's a few weeks ago and had a family photo session. It was so hot!!! Our photographer did a great job. They turned out so much better than I thought they would (considering how hot we all were). Here are just a few of our pictures that she had on her blog. If anyone ever needs a great photographer give Anne-Camille a call.

Just the four of us.

Uncle Kord and Hudson (I think they were trying to take a break from pictures).

Kapra and Kody

Dad and Mom

The whole family.

My sisters and brother and me.

This is one of my favorites.

All of us - trying not to pass out from the heat.

Daddy and his little princess.

Mommy just can't make her smile quite like daddy can. :)

Hudson kind of stole the show... once again. He's our little ham. :)

You can't tell from the picture, but the kids were completely done with pictures and crying.
